What is this guy's deal? He teaches at a community college but acts like a power-tripping drill sergeant in the military. I took a fitness walking class with him and it was such a bizarre experience.
Pretty clear about expectations, but for a 1 credit class he assigns a lot of work and reading. Has very high opinion of himself and will take every opportunity to tell you so.
As long as you listen to him and do what you are told you will get an A. I had him for fitness walking, and even though we walked outside rain or shine, I liked the class! He is really hillarious if you give him a chance!
Just do what you have to do in the class, pay attention and act like an adult and you shouldn't have any problem with this class. Dr. Legg makes me laugh, he is really hillarious.
I had Dr. Legg for volleyball class and I absolutely liked him! If you participate and listen when he talks, you'll get an simple A. He has a great sense of humor and I'd reccomend him to anyone who isn't unreasonably lazy or doesn't have a terrible attitude. (:
I love Dr. Legg!! He has a great sense of humor. He just expects people to be responsible adults. He gives you everything you need, you just have to listen and follow directions. Just because it's a 1 credit class doesn't mean it's a blow off. Go Dr. Legg!!!
I have him right now for online Lifelong Wellness. He is unresponsive, and does not update your grades. I do not know if I am passing or failing. If you think about taking him... Slap yourself, and save yourself the time and money.
I have him for health right now. He knows what he's talking about but it is very difficult. You HAVE to be at every class. He also has you buy an expensive textbook unlike other health teachers who only require the packet. It is fascinating though. We started out with around 20 students in my class. Only about 5 remain. Im considering dropping

I am a 3.8 student with an avid interest in science and health, I was looking forward to this class. Legg's intellect on the matter is high, however his projects are of the worst I have ever had. The homework load much to high for a one credit class.First he tells you no BS and then he fails you for not explaining enough. Very bad Stay Away!!
I strongly recommend choosing this prof. if there is no other option, and you would like to bust you?re a** off just to get by with a D. Guy needs to revaluate how he grades and give projects. Turn around and run before its to late.
This class should be renamed mind reading 151 since that is what one has to do in order to make sense of Dr. Legg's unclear and confusing handouts and directions. It is possible that the great Dr. David Legg has a chip on his shoulder since he has to teach walking courses at a community college? Only Dr. Legg knows for sure.
Dr. Legg expects a lot; however he lists his expectations within the syllabus. He pushes you to be your great and expects no less. He reminded me a lot of my former coaches who made me a better person because of their high standards. Recommend him for those who like to be "pushed." If you're whiney and like to make excuses, don't take him.
I don't know what every body is complaining about. Dr. Legg gives very clear instructions as to how he wants things done. All of his projects are extra credit and he lets you make up 2 absences. And as far as not answering emails goes, he states at the beginning of class to call him or come see him in person. People need to learn to listen.
He is a really difficult teacher. You dont turn homework in on separate paper you dont get a grade. Fill out your scantron wrong and get a grade on exams. This is a 1 credit class and there is more work in here than my 3 credit science class. Don't take him unless you want a "drill" sargent as a teacher.
Seriously stay away from this teacher. I would be surprised if he ever has given out a grade higher than a B. I have an A in all of my 3 and 4 credit courses, and i dropped him because he was going to ruin my GPA. STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS!!!
Worked difficult on each and all projects, teacher wants things done exactly his way or else low score. All other courses I get A's.....NOT HIS
AVOID THIS TEACHER! He is the worst person and has a bad attitude for a teacher. I receive all A's in my courses...not from him D! I finished all projects, I thought, Excellently....he thought otherwise! He avoids emails and lies. You better do things exactly as he wants or you fail! I'm 41 years old...to old for his behavior! |
